POF-USA Revolution: The hearty .308 Winchester/7.62mm NATO Revolution is roughly the same size and weight as its 5.56mm NATO brothers. POF-USA crafted the Revolution by using a 5.56mm bolt carrier and other 5.56mm parts, allowing for a shorter overall receiver size and reduced weight. More 5.56mm parts include the charging handle, cam pin, buffer, heat-sink barrel nut, handguard and five-position gas piston operating system. The barrel extension, bolt assembly, upper and lower are the exact same size as those on an AR-15.
Proof Research Terminus: The 6.81-pound Terminus rifle from Proof Research boasts a carbon-fiber-wrapped barrel, a 0.5-MOA accuracy guarantee and an integral top rail with a 20-MOA offset to make long shots a breeze. Barrels are available from 20 to 28 inches. The action is wire EDM cut and pre-hardened before machining to retain tight tolerances. The full-featured Predator version of the Ruger American Rifle is now available in .204 Ruger, .223 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Winchester chamberings with the Vortex 4-12x44mm Crossfire II scope.
Ruger Precision Rifle: Building on the success of its Precision rifle, Ruger is now offering a model chambered in 6mm Creedmoor. This model should become very popular for its accuracy-enhancing in-line recoil path; easy configurability with AR-style components; cold-hammer-forged, 5R-rifled barrel; adjustable trigger; and modest price. The 6mm Creedmoor version comes with a 24-inch barrel featuring a 1-in-7.7-inch twist rate.
Savage MSR 10 Long Range: Pack all of the features and upgrades you expect from a Savage precision rifle into a single AR-style platform and you have the MSR 10 Long Range. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 Winchester, it is built on a compact frame with a non-reciprocating, side-charging handle. Stag-10/10S: For 2017, Stag Arms has introduced two new 7.62mm/.308 ARs: the Stag-10 and Stag-10S. Built with outdoorsmen and tactical operators in mind, both models feature Diamondhead VRS-T handguards with KeyMod slots, QPQ-nitrided bolt carrier groups, Hogue pistol grips, single-stage triggers, Magpul enhanced triggerguards and VG6 Precision Gamma compensators. The Stag-10 sports an 18-inch barrel and a fixed Magpul stock. The Stag-10S has a 16-inch barrel and a Magpul ACS stock.
Troy CQB A3 LW: Troy’s CQB A3 LW ships without sights so you can easily add your own optics. The rifle is dressed with Troy’s BattleAx Control grip and six-position stock with Troy markings, and it features a forged lower receiver, a forged flattop upper receiver, M4 feed ramps and a Troy enhanced triggerguard.
Troy M16A2 SFOD-D: In the fall of 1993, Task Force Ranger embarked on a joint military raid into Mogadishu, Somalia. Operation Gothic Serpent rapidly devolved when two U.S. Black Hawk helicopters were downed unexpectedly by Somalian militia. The prolonged standoff of the deadly Battle of Mogadishu claimed the lives of 18 Americans, with 73 wounded and one captured. To honor these men, Troy has unveiled a carbine replica of the guns used back in 1993. Troy SOCC: Troy Defense has unveiled its Special Operations Compatible Carbine (SOCC) lineup for 2017. The new SOCC carbines are available with 7.5-, 10.5- or 14.5-inch barrels and several familiar or brand-new Troy accessories. The new carbines are specifically marketed to military and law enforcement CQB applications as short-barreled rifles (SBRs), but they could easily be adapted to civilian use as well. Along with 5.56mm NATO models, the company is currently working on making 300 BLK and 7.62mm NATO versions as well.
War Sport GPR-HC: The GPR-HC (High Caliber) rifle provides greater accuracy across longer distances. The firearm is available in two calibers: .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor. It has billet upper and lower receivers as well as a newly enhanced War Sport muzzle brake that tames recoil and virtually eliminates muzzle rise. The War Sport-made barrels are available in 18-, 20- and 22-inch lengths.
War Sport WS-9: War Sport’s WS-9 ARs come chambered in 9mm and uses Glock-type magazines. All of the models include an enhanced trigger, a short-throw safety selector and a War Sport muzzle device. Three different configurations are available. The WS-9 PDW (shown) features an 8.75-inch barrel, the WS-9 Carbine has a 16-inch barrel and the WS-9 Pistol has an 8.75-inch barrel. War Sport manufactures its barrels using only high-quality, American-made bar stock.
Weatherby Vanguard Camilla: The Vanguard Camilla was designed specifically for women by a team of female hunters and shooters. The stock is made to perfectly fit women. The length of pull has been shortened to 13 inches; the grip angle has been altered while the grip is now slimmer with a right-side palm swell and a slight trigger finger guide groove; the forearm is shorter; the comb is higher; checkering has been added on the Turkish walnut stock; and the buttpad is now smaller and fits a woman’s shoulder better. The Camilla also features a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee, an adjustable two-stage trigger, a three-position safety and a 20-inch, cold-hammer-forged barrel. Variants are available in .243 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08 and .308 Winchester.
Wilson Combat AR9: Wilson Combat is often considered the Cadillac of 1911s, and the company’s high-end rifles are renowned among shooters, too. Last year, Wilson Combat unveiled its AR9 series of 9mm rifles, and the company has expanded the line to include 8- or 11.3-inch-barreled SBR variants. Three types of AR9s are available to use Glock, Smith & Wesson M&P or Beretta 92 series magazines. This means your primary sidearm can now feed your long arm. As with all Wilson firearms, the AR9 SBR features an Armor-Tuff finish and plenty of custom-grade features.
